The Mr. Black Vintage Ensemble Stereo Professional is listed at $299.95 on the maker's site, with a regular price of $349.95 shown alongside it1. Guitar Pedal X reported on July 2, 2026 that the pedal is "currently priced at $299, was at $349 - and may return to that level," and that units were sold out awaiting a new batch2.

The pedal is a digital chorus and vibrato built as an homage to the Roland CE-1. Mr. Black describes it as a modern evolution of that circuit, with a Normal mode that reproduces the original delay times, voicing and modulation waveform, and a Stereo mode that links the left and right modulation delay times in opposite directions: "As one side shortens, the other lengthens"1. A continuously variable wet/dry mixer blends between chorus and pitch vibrato in place of the CE-1's fixed switch1. Guitar Pedal X describes it as "a twin digital delay line modulator recreating and doubling the Boss CE-1 Chorus/Vibrato"2.

Controls are Wet/Dry Mix, Depth and Rate, plus a Preset Save button and a Normal/Stereo push-button; the footswitches handle tap tempo and effect on/off, with the left footswitch held to recall a preset2. The pedal has stereo and mono inputs and outputs, a TAP/EXP jack, a TRS mini MIDI input and 9V DC power2. Mr. Black lists full MIDI support (Type-A), MIDI clock synchronization, control of all front-panel parameters and eight additional presets via MIDI1.

Mr. Black's product page describes the line's history: "Inspired by the Roland CE-1, the 2015 Vintage Ensemble captured the lush, dimensional chorus heard on countless records," and "In 2018, the Stereo Vintage Ensemble expanded that sound into true stereo, opening an entirely new spatial dimension"1. Premier Guitar called it "the third evolution in a series that began with the very simple, 3-knob Vintage Ensemble"3.
