REVV has released the Dirtdog, an all-analog overdrive pedal developed in collaboration with Joey Landreth, the company said. Delicious Audio reported the release on Feb. 12, 20261.
The pedal is a four-knob overdrive in the overdrive category. REVV describes the Tone knob as a broad midrange shifter, the Bite knob as a high-end presence control, and Gain and Level as interactive controls that can run from a low-gain boost to saturated overdrive2. Delicious Audio reports that Revv co-founder Dan Trudeau worked with Landreth on the design, and that Landreth had used a heavily modified, Fender Princeton-style amp he built himself on The Bros. Landreth's Dog Ear album1.
"The Dirt Dog distills the unhinged, harmonically rich saturation of an overdriven late-1940s tweed circuit into a compact, tour-grade analog stompbox."
