REVV releases Shawn Tubbs Signature Tilt Overdrive pedal

REVV announced the Shawn Tubbs Signature Tilt Overdrive in May 2022, a two-sided overdrive and boost pedal made with the Nashville session guitarist and YouTuber Shawn Tubbs. Guitar.com reported it as REVV's first pedal made alongside an artist and the Canadian company's first dual-sided effect pedal¹. MusicRadar said it was developed over the course of a year².

The pedal is divided into an Overdrive section and a Boost section, each with its own footswitch, so either can be activated independently¹³. The drive side has Gain, Volume, Bass and Treble controls²¹³. REVV describes it as a "touch-sensitive amp-voiced drive" intended to sound and feel like a vintage amplifier¹³. The boost side has a Tilt EQ and a three-way Tight selector for Half, Normal and Full². MusicRadar described the Tilt EQ as falling between "crazy active" and transparent². Gearnews said the Tilt EQ shifts the frequency balance in one direction, adding bass while cutting highs or the reverse, always at the same time³.

The pedal runs on a commercially available 9V power supply and steps up internally to 18 volts for more headroom²³. It has top-mounted jacks and silent relay switching¹³. Delicious Audio listed a blue sparkle finish with a custom Shawn Tubbs graphic⁴.

Prices and availability differ between the reports. MusicRadar, published May 19, said the pedal was available late May². Guitar.com, published May 20, said it was available now for $269¹.
