Delicious Audio published a piece on the RPS Effects Arcade Machine on January 4, 2023, and added the pedal to its article on octave pedals and to its PLL-style category¹. The Arcade Machine is a PLL-based analog synth and harmonizer¹. GuitarPlayer reported the Pittsburgh-based maker's launch of the pedal in April 2020², and Premier Guitar dated its announcement to April 24, 2020³.

According to Delicious Audio, the pedal latches onto the input frequency and re-synthesizes it as a square wave, producing what the site describes as a rich, rounded synth tone¹. One and two octaves down, one and two octaves up, plus an interval of the player's choosing are available, which the site describes as essentially a 6-voice synthesizer controlled by the instrument¹. The interval range can be set with an expression pedal or control voltage, and a sequencer can run through a series of notes that follow the player's input¹. Vibrato acts on all voices, with Depth and Rate knobs¹. Delicious Audio writes that the controls were made as user-friendly as possible, with a single Gate knob determining sensitivity¹. The pedal is monophonic, as the site notes all PLL-based effects are¹.

GuitarPlayer listed gate, level, depth and rate knobs plus a central knob giving all intervals in a 12-tone scale, a die-cast aluminum case, a soft-click true bypass switch, 9-volt operation and a standard DC input². It put the price at $265, available directly from the manufacturer only². Premier Guitar also gave $265 and said the pedal is available directly from the RPS Effects online store³.
