Shift Line releases Everest II stereo reverb and delay pedal

September 8, 2023 · 4 sources

Shift Line released the A+ Everest II, a stereo reverb and delay pedal, on September 8, 2023, according to Delicious Audio1. The pedal is the result of the Everest M evolution, the maker says, and adds stereo mode with width control, dual mono mode, tap tempo and an improved hold mode to the mono Everest M21.

The Everest II is a stereo reverb and delay pedal which offers the user deep control over the sound, Shift Line says3. It has six reverb and delay modes with the two effects running in parallel, independent volume control for both effects, stereo and ping-pong delay, tap tempo with subdivisions, a low-pass filter for brightness, switchable tails in bypass, a Kill Dry option and a fully analog dry signal chain2. The maker lists a 9-12V power intake with a current draw of 75-100mA, top-mounted jacks, a micro-USB port for updates and settings, and an external tap tempo input2. The pedal does not support TRS connections2.

Controls include REVERB LEVEL and DELAY LEVEL knobs, a REGEN knob that controls delay feedback and reverb decay together, a STEREO WIDTH knob, a TIME knob, a MODE switch for the six algorithms and a BEAT switch for subdivisions2. The BYPASS footswitch turns the effect on or off, enters Hold Mode when held, and recalls the Favorite preset when pressed twice2. Holding the TAP footswitch while changing the BEAT switch setting selects stereo or ping-pong operation for the delay section2.

Shift Line's support page lists firmware version 1.3.1, installed on pedals manufactured after May 1, 20223. The page describes editing the EVEREST2.SET config file over USB, including parameters for input gain, tap subdivisions, patch switching and external tap trigger types3.

The Everest II product page states that the device is currently out of stock2. No US price is given on the pages. The Everest M is listed as discontinued4.
