Silktone released the Overdrive+, an overdrive and boost pedal, on February 8, 2024, priced at $26912. Guitar Pedal X reported it is available from the Silktone Webstore, with international dealers expected imminently1.

The pedal has three knobs, Volume, Tone and Gain, plus a mini-toggle for a bass cut and another to choose between asymmetrical and symmetrical clipping12. Guitar World describes the asymmetric mode as more textured and dynamic and the symmetric mode as smoother and more compressed2. A right-hand footswitch engages the effect and a left-hand footswitch engages the boost, which brings a Strangle/Raw toggle into play2. Guitar Pedal X lists the controls as:

ControlFunction
Volume, Tone (Brightness), GainKnobs
Bass Cut switchMini-toggle
Clipping switchAsymmetrical / Symmetrical
Strangle / Raw footswitchStrangle (cocked-wah-like inductor filter) / Raw (inductor-less full boost)

Guitar Pedal X reports an internal charge pump boosts a 9V DC supply to 30V, and describes the circuit as touch-sensitive in a BB-size enclosure1. Guitar World reports the circuit combines JFETs, op-amps and "a few diodes," and that two amber LEDs indicate when the pedal and its boost section are engaged2. Set to Strangle, Guitar World writes, an inductor filters frequencies for a cocked-wah sound; set to Raw, the boost is unfiltered2. Guitar Pedal X calls the Strangle setting "pretty unique"1.

Guitar World reports the price matches Silktone's Fuzz, as does Guitar Pedal X, which calls the Overdrive+ "a universal full-range dynamic overdrive"12.

"Didn't want to re-invent the wheel, just wanted to make a wheel that could sound beautiful... or rip faces off."

Guitar World reports Silktone describes the pedal's range as going from "low-gain always-on tonal enhancer to ripping high-gain lead machine"2. Guitar Pedal X's reviewer wrote that it "sounds excellent in the demos" but would have preferred a vertical orientation for pedalboard use1.
