StewMac releases Two Kings Dual Boost Overdrive as pre-built pedal
November 2, 2025 · 2 sources

StewMac has released the StewMac Two Kings Dual Boost Overdrive as a pre-built pedal, Pedal of the Day reported on November 2, 2025. The pedal had previously been offered as a buildable kit1.
The unit has two independent channels in one box, each capable of clean boost or drive2. Each side carries Volume, Drive and Tone controls: Volume sets overall output level, Drive controls how much signal hits the clipping stage, and Tone adjusts top-end brightness2. A set of DIP switches on each side selects the mode: all switches down for Clean Mode, switches 1 and 3 up for Overdrive Mode with soft clipping, and switches 2 and 4 up for Distortion Mode with hard clipping. The report notes that more clipping means lower output volume2. An internal trim pot adjusts brightness, counterclockwise for a brighter tone and clockwise for darker2.

Pedal of the Day describes the circuit as delivering "that Centaur tone without the five-figure collector's budget, the speculative hype, or the soldering iron"2. Premier Guitar, reviewing the kit version, describes the pedal as inspired by Analog Man's King of Tone and lists it at $129.991. The two accounts differ on format: Pedal of the Day reports the pedal is now pre-built, while the Premier Guitar page describes it as a kit21. Premier Guitar also states that buyers can choose a white or bare enclosure and that custom labels are included1.
"The Two Kings Dual Boost Overdrive is now a pre-built pedal, giving you that Centaur tone without the five-figure collector's budget, the speculative hype, or the soldering iron."
