Strymon announced the Canoga, a two-knob silicon fuzz, on April 21, 2026. Delicious Audio reported it as the second pedal in the company's Series A line, and MusicRadar described it as a two-knob fuzz with a silicon circuit inspired by a vintage Fuzz Face12.
The pedal has two controls, Drive and Level, and top-mounted jacks12. It has no MIDI, no USB, no presets and no app12. Delicious Audio described the Series A line as the company's outlet for analog dirt boxes1. MusicRadar reported that the line was inaugurated in December 2025 with the Fairfax Class A Output Stage Drive, a pedal inspired by the Garnet Amplifiers Herzog tube drive, and that the Canoga is Strymon's second analog pedal2. Pedal of the Day also reported the Canoga joins the Fairfax as the second pedal in the series3.
The circuit is a tweaked version of a vintage silicon Fuzz Face based on one of three fuzz designs that Strymon CEO Gregg Stock built, according to the reports. Delicious Audio said Stock built it in an afternoon seven years ago and that it sat on a shelf until the company needed a fuzz to pair with its UltraViolet vibe1. MusicRadar said the Canoga was one of three custom fuzzboxes Stock breadboarded, and that the idea of a Fuzz Face-style pedal to complement the UltraViolet, launched in 2022, came up later2. Pedal of the Day described it as based upon one of Gregg's original three fuzz designs3.
Both Delicious Audio and MusicRadar reported a US price of $19912. MusicRadar gave the price as £/$1992.
Strymon's description of the pedal's response, as quoted by MusicRadar:
"Full up it works as a fuzz or distortion, but if you back the guitar's volume down there's a world of varied tones on tap for all different styles of music"
Delicious Audio wrote that rolling the guitar's volume back yields a semi-clean blues overdrive with clear highs1. Pedal of the Day said the rolled-back sound stays clear in the high frequencies and does not get muddy3. Strymon recommends running the pedal into an amp that already has some gain, according to Delicious Audio and Pedal of the Day13.
