Subdecay releases the M3000 guitar and bass synthesizer

September 1, 2025 · 1 sources

Subdecay has published the product page for the M3000 Guitar and Bass Synthesizer, a follow-up to its 2019 M3, priced at $229.001. The page describes it as a "70s style three oscillator synth with modern enhancements"1.

The M3000 has an EDIT MODE switch with EZ and DEEP settings. In EZ mode, the SELECT knob cycles through 11 starting points that shape the filter, envelopes and MOD1, the PARAM 2 and PARAM 3 knobs make immediate tweaks, and PARAM cycles through a library of 32 oscillator variations1. The pedal stores 11 savable presets, with 24 available via MIDI1. A MIDI controller can also be plugged in to play the M3000 as a traditional synthesizer; bypassing the pedal returns it to guitar input mode1.

The filter section pairs an analog low-pass filter, which Subdecay says is based on the MS-20, with a digital high-pass filter modeled on the MS20's filter1. The three independent oscillators each offer 13 waveform types, a 5-octave tuning range, a warp control on 11 waveforms and ring modulation options1. The page lists 15 oscillator waveforms plus ring modulation among the features1. Envelopes with attack, decay, release and range parameters modulate the filters and VCA, with separate envelopes for the filters and the VCA and a third envelope for the oscillators1. MOD1 offers triangle, sine, pulse and random LFO shapes with variable duty cycle, and MOD2 is a three-phase LFO made of three synced LFOs1.

"Our follow-up to 2019's M3 now with enhanced & faster tracking for guitar and bass."
