Thorn Soundlab announced the Black Swamp Flex Fuzz, a fully analog fuzz pedal, in a report published by Delicious Audio on December 17, 20251. The Thorn Soundlab Black Swamp Flex Fuzz is made in Nashville1.

The pedal has a seven-knob control panel that Delicious Audio describes as extending beyond standard Gain, Volume and Tone1. The Damping control is an input filter that sets how much low end reaches the distortion circuit1. The EQ is an active three-band system of Bass, Mid and Treble, with a parametric Mid Freq knob to sweep the center of the midrange boost or cut1. Two toggles make broader changes: the Character switch selects between Smooth, Normal and Hot clipping responses, and the Hard Clip switch toggles between soft and aggressive asymmetric clipping1.

Guitar Pedal X lists the controls as Gain, Damping, Mid Frequency from 300Hz to 2kHz, Volume, Character (Smooth, Natural, Hot), Hard Clip (off/on), Bass, Mid and Treble2. Guitar World lists the origin as China3.

Guitar Pedal X reports a US price of $199, with the pedal available direct from Thorn Soundlab and at select international dealers2. Guitar World also lists $1993.

"It can be tuned for articulate, amp-like drive that stacks seamlessly or pushed into raw, searing territory, all while maintaining the organic, responsive feel of a pure analog signal path."

Guitar Pedal X's Stefan Karlsson described the pedal as covering Fuzz Face, Tone Bender and Big Muff territory, and said the Hard Clip switch tightens and darkens the output, typically for Big Muff styles2. He wrote that the pedal delivers substantial volume but that clipped sound remains when guitar volume is reduced, so it does not approach germanium Fuzz Face cleanup2. Guitar World's Trevor Curwen wrote that the Black Swamp is as much a distortion as a fuzz, in the way a Big Muff can be, and that its semi-parametric midrange provides an extra layer of tone shaping3.
