ThorpyFX released the ER-2, its take on the Uni-Vibe, in June 2023¹. MusicRadar and Guitar.com both reported the launch on June 30, 2023²³.

The ER-2 is an all-analog pedal with a dual-footswitch design: one footswitch turns the effect on and off, and the other selects between Chorus and Vibe modes². MusicRadar reported that Chorus mode is the familiar Uni-Vibe sound and Vibe mode is 100 percent wet². Guitar World's review described the second footswitch as changing between Uni-Vibe Chorus and Vibrato (wet signal only) modes⁴.

Controls are Intensity, Speed, Offset and Volume, plus the Vib/Cho and bypass footswitches⁴. The Offset knob adjusts how the internal lamp ramps up, controlling the transitions between the light and dark phases⁴. Guitar World compared it to the waveform adjustment on a tremolo pedal, saying it affects the symmetry of the sound and interacts with the Intensity knob⁴. The pedal is true bypass, takes a 9V DC adaptor (not supplied) and draws 150 mA⁴. Guitar World listed dimensions of 108 mm wide, 128 mm deep and 55 mm high⁴. MusicRadar reported recessed chickenhead knobs and top-mounted jacks².

Adrian Thorpe described the pedal in a statement carried by MusicRadar and Guitar.com:

Prices differ between reports. Guitar World's review gave $379⁴. The ER-2 was available at the ThorpyFX website at launch³.
