Valeton first showed the Valeton GP-5 at NAMM, according to Guitar Pedal X and Gearnews, which both reported on the pedal in late May 2025. Gearnews wrote that the pedal "caused quite a bit of buzz at NAMM, when Valeton showed it first"1.
The GP-5 is a compact multi-effects unit with amp and cab modeling, a NAM loader, a tuner and USB audio. Gearnews reported 100 effects with up to nine loaded in a single preset, 50 onboard impulse responses plus room for 20 third-party IRs, and 50 NAM profiles with space for 30 more1. Guitar Pedal X listed over 100 effects, 20 third-party IR slots, NAM support with 50 curated files and a maximum of 80 stored, and 100 patch slots, 50 of them factory patches2. It also listed a color LCD, a chromatic tuner, analog and digital bypass modes, and a single footswitch with four modes: Patch, Songlist, Stomp CTL and Tuner2.
Gearnews reported that presets are edited wirelessly through Valeton's iOS and Android app or over USB-C on Mac and Windows, and that the pedal works as a 2-in-2-out audio interface recording at 44.1 kHz, 16-bit, with USB re-amping and Bluetooth audio1. Guitar Pedal X gave the same 44.1 kHz sample rate and 16-bit depth, and listed dimensions of 93.5mm by 42mm by 52mm and a weight of 237g2. Gearnews also noted that built-in MIDI functionality "should be possible" through a future firmware update1.
Guitar Pedal X listed a US price of $792. Gearnews gave $75.00 alongside prices in pounds and euros1.
