Valeton publishes VLP-400 dual looper product page

Valeton published a product page for the Valeton VLP-400 on valeton.net, dated May 2025. The page describes a dual looper with independent footswitch control of LOOP 1 and LOOP 2 and a drum machine.

The pedal runs two collaboration modes. In SERIAL mode, the footswitch switches between the two loops, and recording on LOOP 2 can begin automatically when LOOP 1 playback ends; reactivating LOOP 1 during LOOP 2 recording pauses that recording and starts LOOP 1¹. In FREE mode, the page says, "LOOP 1 and LOOP 2 operate entirely independently, with no impact on each other's recording duration"¹. Overdubs can be set to double to an exact multiple of the loop length, with the footswitch light flashing blue if the overdub is not an integer multiple; a STACK function for traditional overdubbing is reached by long-pressing the ASSIGNABLE footswitch¹.

Compared with the VLP-200, the VLP-400 adds ASSIGN knobs and ASSIGNABLE footswitches¹. Seven loop effects are listed: OCTAVE, REVERSE, FREEZE, HALF, FADE, ONCE and SOLO, with the footswitch lights glowing purple when active¹. The drum machine has 100 patterns, 24-bit, 48 kHz sampling and kits including rock, pop, jazz, electronic and metal, with dedicated footswitches and AUTO and SYNC modes¹.

The page lists a combo input for instruments or dynamic microphones, a CTRL interface for external footswitches, MIDI IN/OUT, a 3.5mm headphone output and USB connection to Windows and Mac software for project management and firmware updates¹. The page does not give a price or a ship date.
