Walrus Audio announced the LORE Reverse Soundscape Generator on June 2, 2022, during NAMM 2022. Guitar.com described it as "a reverb and delay pedal with a focus on reversed sounds and expansive ambient soundscapes"¹.

The pedal runs two DSP chips in series, each with its own analog feedback path, according to Guitar.com¹. MusicRadar reported that each chip has "their own analogue signal paths with individually adjustable gain"². A five-position Program rotary knob sets how the two engines interact¹. The programs are:

Controls include feedback, regen, tone, wet/dry mix, modulation depth, time and an X knob whose function changes with the program¹. Modulation rate is set with the same knob while the bypass switch is held down¹. Holding the tap-tempo footswitch produces a momentary rise or dive in delay and reverb time¹. MusicRadar reported tap tempo for both delay and reverb, and said the reverb trail fades off naturally when the pedal is deactivated². The LORE is a mono effect in a muted green enclosure with artwork by David Hüttner¹.

Sources differ on price and date. Guitar.com listed the pedal at $299¹, and Gearnews gave a US MSRP of $299³. Guitar World said it is "available from June 23 for $299"⁴. MusicRadar said it ships at the end of June², and Gearnews also reported end-of-June shipping³.
