Walrus Audio announces Monumental Harmonic Stereo Tremolo pedal

Walrus Audio announced the Monumental Harmonic Stereo Tremolo, an analog optical tremolo that adds stereo operation and new controls to the Monument line¹². Gearnews reported the announcement in April 2024 and described the pedal as a take on the Monument Harmonic Tremolo V2 from 2019².

The Monumental Stereo Tremolo has true stereo input and output on unbalanced 1/4-inch TS jacks, and Walrus says it can also run in mono¹³. A Pan control sets the stereo spread: fully counterclockwise the left and right channels share the same LFO, and turning it clockwise offsets the right channel's LFO up to 180 degrees out of phase¹. An S-B-H control blends between standard and harmonic tremolo modes¹. Walrus describes harmonic mode as a low-pass and high-pass version of the signal modulated 180 degrees out of phase, in the manner of Fender Brownface amps¹.

The pedal has three onboard presets plus a live mode; pressing both footswitches cycles through them, with the LED showing red, green, blue or white for live¹. Every parameter can be assigned to expression control, and the tap tempo footswitch also provides a momentary ramp up or down, with the ramp location set by the rate control¹. Gearnews lists six wave shapes (sine, square, saw, ramp, bump and random) and five tap divisions (quarter, quarter triplet, eighth, eighth triplet and sixteenth)². MusicRadar reports a Volume control that can provide up to +10dB of clean gain³.
