The Walrus Audio Slötvå is a variation of the 3-mode Slö multi-texture reverb, the Oklahoma City company's pedal, and adds the ability to create and save three presets¹. Walrus Audio describes it as a variant of the Slö that "adds three easily accessible presets that give players an expansive reverb palette for live settings"². Delicious Audio, which updated its page on Apr. 1, 2022, reports that the improvements are exclusively related to presets, a feature the company developed in its Mako pedal series, released after the original Slö¹.

Presets are saved by simultaneously pressing and holding the bypass and sustain switches, and players scroll through them by simultaneously pressing and releasing both switches¹². When scrolling through presets, spillover occurs only if the next preset uses the same algorithm as the one before it¹. The rest of the pedal, algorithms included, is identical to the original¹.

The toggle switch selects three reverb modes: Dark (Lower Octave), Rise (Ambient Swell) and Dream (Latching Pad), while secondary functions on the switch change the wave shapes for modulation on the reverb trail¹². The three wave shapes, accessible by holding down bypass while switching the toggle, are Sine, Warp and Sink¹. The X knob sets the level of a -1 octave signal in Dark, the swell time in Rise and the vibrato depth in Dream¹. The pedal runs in trails or no trails mode, toggled by holding the bypass switch for 1 second while applying power¹.

Walrus Audio lists the die-cast enclosure at 4.77" x 2.6" x 1.39" and power requirements at 9VDC, center negative, 100mA minimum². The maker says the pedal comes in a semi-transparent midnight blue enclosure with artwork by Christi Du Toit²; Delicious Audio describes a custom enclosure inspired by national parks¹.

Walrus Audio priced the Slötvå at $229 and said it was available at walrusaudio.com and authorized dealers worldwide². Delicious Audio lists it at $229 as a limited edition¹. Guitar Pedal X, in an addendum to a January 2022 post, noted the variant was $30 more than the original, "or $10 per preset essentially," with all other features, functions and output the same³. The pedal sits in the company's reverb line².
