Walrus Audio and Yvette Young unveiled the Qi Etherealizer, a stereo multi-effects pedal, on January 16, 2025, ahead of NAMM 2025¹². Guitar World describes it as Young's first signature effects pedal¹.

The pedal combines chorus, delay, granular effects and reverb, and players can run the effects in series or parallel². The grain section has two modes, Grain Cloud and Phrase Sample, with five playback modes (x1, x2, x.5, Reverse, Random) and a Freeze footswitch²³. The delay offers up to two seconds of delay time, feedback control and three subdivisions². The chorus has Tri Chorus and Stereo Chorus modes². A Space knob adds reverb, and a Tone knob controls a synth-style low-pass filter².

Three footswitches handle bypass, Freeze and Tap/Osc functions¹. The pedal stores three onboard presets plus a live mode, or 127 presets via MIDI². It has true stereo input and output, 1/8-inch TRS MIDI in and thru jacks, and a USB-C port for firmware updates³. It runs on 9V DC at 300mA, and the die-cast enclosure measures 5.83 by 4.87 by 2.30 inches including hardware³.

Inside is the debut of Walrus Audio's MDSP digital processing platform, built around an ARM-based Cortex M7 processor¹². Walrus says MDSP "ensures unmatched performance"².

The Qi Etherealizer ships in a rosy clay enclosure with art illustrated by Young, or a black and cream variant². Sources differ on price and availability: Guitar World lists a $449 preorder price¹, Bass Magazine gives $449.99 and says it is available now², and Guitar Pedal X lists $449 and reports preorders at most dealer sites³. MusicRadar says it goes on sale at the start of February⁴.
