Wampler announced the release of the Mini EGO 76 on October 17, 2025, according to Delicious Audio¹. The pedal is a compressor designed by Brian Wampler that draws on the 1176 Peak Limiter, the solid-state FET compressor first introduced in 1967². Wampler describes it as "a studio-grade compressor pedal"².

The Mini EGO 76 has three knobs: Level, Compress and Parallel Clean Blend². Two three-way switches set Attack and Release, which Wampler says are based on classic studio configurations². Guitar Pedal X lists the switch positions as Fastest, Slowest and Moderate for both Attack and Release³. The Blend control mixes the uncompressed signal back in with the compressed one²¹.

Wampler's stated specifications are:

The Wampler webstore lists the Mini EGO 76 at $149, alongside the compact EGO 76 at $199 and the Cory Wong Compressor Edition at $269, Guitar Pedal X reported³. Wampler says the pedal is available at wamplerpedals.com and authorized dealers worldwide².

Guitar Pedal X described the Mini EGO 76 as a shrink of the EGO 76 Compressor into a mini edition, and said it provides greater Attack and Release range while losing the original Mini EGO's three-way Tone switch³. The original Mini EGO had Blend, Sustain, Tone Switch, Volume and Attack Switch³.

Delicious Audio described the pedal as "translating the FET-based 'enhanced' sound of the original into a pedal format"¹. Wampler calls it "Designed to be an 'always-on' pedal"².
