The Beetronics Hazee Delay, sold as the Pollinator Hazee Delay, is a modulated digital delay pedal with eight repeat modes. Beetronics describes it as "a hive full of evolving delay textures," where each repeat is shaped by either a filter or a tremolo depending on the mode selected, so the repeats bloom and shift rather than simply echoing back1. It launched on 22 January 2026 at $249 on the Beetronics webstore as the first model in the company's Pollinator Series2.

Where a conventional delay gives you clean, even repeats, the Hazee is built around texture. Guitar Pedal X characterized it as "more of an ambient textural delay versus a precision metronome," covering filter, octave, shimmer and reverse sounds2. Some modes run the delay forward and others in reverse3.

Eight repeat modes and how you control them

The pedal has eight modes, selected by a central rotary Mode selector. Each mode is a different combination of repeat direction and modulation: some run the delay forward, others in reverse, and the repeats are shaped by either a filter or a tremolo13. Guitar Pedal X's coverage lists the first mode as Filter plus Forward Repeats, with the set also including octave-up repeats and two special modes2.

The rest of the interface is five controls:

ControlWhat it does
TimeSets the delay time
FeedbackSets how many repeats you hear
MixBalances dry and delayed signal
ModulationSets the depth of the filter or tremolo shaping on the repeats
Mode selector8-way rotary that picks the repeat mode
Bypass footswitchSwitches the effect on and off

Guitar World's review lists the controls as Time, Feedback, Mix, Modulation, Mode selector and a Bypass footswitch4, and gearnews.com describes the same five primary knobs plus the 8-way selector6.

One thing Beetronics does not publish is a delay time range. Guitar Pedal X noted that "Beetronics doesn't even reference the delay time range" in its material2, so players comparing maximum delay times against other pedals will not find a figure from the maker.

Digital, mono and buffered

The Hazee Delay is fully digital, and it is a first for the company: Beetronics says "This is our first fully digital bee. While we've used digital control before, the Hazee Delay processes the signal digitally"1. That marks a change of direction from the Bee Bee Dee, their analog delay.

"This is our first fully digital bee. While we’ve used digital control before, the Hazee Delay processes the signal digitally , letting us do things that simply aren’t possible in analog land."

It is mono only, with one input, one output and a power inlet54. Delicious Audio's reviewer addressed the mono design directly: "Mono only, because stereo would've doubled the price and the point"7. Guitar Pedal X's take was that mono delays like this are "definitely worthy of consideration," while noting the reviewer personally prioritizes stereo delays2. The bypass is buffered rather than true bypass4.

Where it came from: the Bee Bee Dee and the Pollinator Series

The Hazee Delay follows the Bee Bee Dee, Beetronics' earlier delay pedal. MusicRadar's review frames the Hazee as its successor: "Following on from their Bee Bee Dee analogue delay pedal, it has developed the Hazee Delay"5.

The Hazee Delay heads up the new Pollinator Series, and goes for $249 on the Beetronics Webstore2. Both the standard Pollinator Hazee Delay and the Custom Shop PL029 version have since sold out8.

The pedal has appeared in several finishes, including standard colorways and limited editions. Both the standard Pollinator Hazee Delay and the Custom Shop PL029 version have since sold out on the Beetronics webstore8.

What reviewers said

Guitar World's review called it "Not your average digital delay by any means, the Hazee Delay is a vibe machine that could help get those creative juices flowing"4.

"Not your average digital delay by any means, the Hazee Delay is a vibe machine that could help get those creative juices flowing."
Guitar World review4

Delicious Audio described it as a multi-modulated delay pedal, repeating the maker's positioning of it as a textural tool rather than a straight echo7. MusicRadar's review lists its connectivity as Input, Output and Power In, and confirms it is made in the USA5.

The consistent picture across reviews is of a delay built for atmosphere and experimentation rather than precise, metronomic repeats, with the mono output the main thing a player weighing it against stereo delays needs to know24.

Questions

Is the Beetronics Hazee Delay analog or digital?

It is fully digital. Beetronics calls it their first fully digital pedal: earlier pedals used digital control, but the Hazee Delay processes the signal digitally. It follows the Bee Bee Dee, which was an analog delay built on BBD circuitry.

Is the Hazee Delay mono or stereo?

It is mono only, with a single input and a single output. Delicious Audio's reviewer noted that stereo would have doubled the price and the point, so players who need stereo delays should look elsewhere.

Does the Hazee Delay have true bypass?

No. Guitar World's review lists it as having buffered bypass rather than true bypass, so the pedal's buffer stays in the signal path when the effect is switched off.

Where is the Beetronics Hazee Delay made?

MusicRadar's review lists the pedal as made in the USA. Beetronics sells it through its own webstore, where it has appeared in Gray and Green colorways plus limited editions.

What is the Hazee Delay's relationship to the Bee Bee Dee?

The Hazee Delay follows the Bee Bee Dee, Beetronics' analog modulated delay released in September 2025. Where the Bee Bee Dee is analog, the Hazee is the company's first fully digital pedal, and it heads up the new Pollinator Series.

What was the Neon Fade limited edition?

A limited edition version of the Pollinator Hazee Delay in a Neon Fade finish, listed on the Beetronics webstore alongside the standard colorways. Like the standard versions, it has since sold out.
