Caline DCP-01 Artemis Compressor Boost

The Caline DCP-01 Artemis Compressor Boost is a dual pedal that pairs a compressor and a boost in one enclosure. Pedal of the Day, reviewing it in May 2021, described it as a pedal that "brings two oft-overlooked effects right to the forefront," combining two of the maker's existing circuits in a single box¹.

Each side is a known Caline pedal on its own: the compressor is the CP-47 Pressure Tank Compressor and the boost is the CP-97 Recluse Boost¹. The two effects can be used independently or in tandem, so the pedal can serve as a compressor, a boost, or both at once¹.

What it does

The compressor side carries simple Level, EQ and Comp parameters for manipulating compression and tone shaping¹. The boost side, taken from the CP-97 Recluse, covers a range of +2dB to +20dB¹. In its own review of the Recluse, Pedal of the Day described that circuit as leaving the dry signal untouched: "With no effect on your dry signal, all it does is boost, from a slight auditory bump to an amp-pushing (but still clean)" powerhouse².

Where it sits among Caline's dual pedals

The DCP-01 is one of several two-effects-in-one pedals in Caline's range.
