The My Little Klony is an overdrive pedal from Daddy Daughter Pedal Works, built around the Klon circuit and finished in a pink enclosure. Pedal of the Day's 2022 review describes it as "dialed in sonically to the mythical units, with a couple of twists and a great story," meaning it aims for the sound of the original Klon pedals while making a few deliberate changes of its own1.
What it does
The Klon circuit is one of the most copied overdrive designs, and the two original versions, the gold and silver Klons, differed slightly in component values. My Little Klony takes elements from both, which is how the builder reconciles the two versions into one pedal1.
The clipping stage uses new-old-stock germanium diodes, specifically D9E while supplies last, each tested and matched to the specifications of the original. Germanium clipping is a defining part of the Klon's character, so matching the diodes to the original's specs is central to how the pedal is voiced1.
The changes from the original
Two updates set the My Little Klony apart from a straight reproduction:
- Logarithmic volume pot. The original's linear taper volume pot is swapped for a logarithmic one, giving smoother control across the pot's sweep, so the volume control is more usable through its range1.
- Better wet/dry ratio. The dry signal is blended with the overdrive before the output, which the review credits with a better wet/dry balance than the original arrangement1.
Power
The pedal runs on standard 9V operation and is not safe at 18 volts. Players using a multi-output power supply should keep it on a 9V output rather than an 18V one1.
Do not power the My Little Klony at 18V. The pedal is rated for standard 9V operation only1.

Questions
Is the My Little Klony a Klon clone?
It is based on the Klon circuit, taking elements from both the original gold and silver versions, since component values differed slightly between the two. Daddy Daughter Pedal Works dialed the circuit in sonically to the original units while adding a few twists of its own, such as a logarithmic volume pot and a dry signal blended with the overdrive before the output.
Can the My Little Klony run at 18 volts?
No. The pedal runs on standard 9V operation and is not safe at 18 volts, so it should be powered from a standard 9V supply rather than an 18V output on a multi-supply unit.
