Circuit and delay range

The FL7 is an analog design built on bucket-brigade device (BBD) chips, the same kind of chip behind vintage analog chorus and flanger circuits. Guitar Pedal X's Stefan Karlsson reports it uses two Xvive MN3007 1024-stage BBD chips, giving a delay time range of 1.5ms to 34ms1. Delicious Audio's review of the line confirms the FL7 uses a 1024-stage BBD2.

That delay range shapes what the pedal does best. As De Gregorio puts it, the range is "more suited for chorus effects due to its longer, more filtered delay"2. In practice, the longer end of the range sits where chorus and vibrato live, while the shorter settings reach into flanging territory.

Power and current draw

The FL7 needs a 9V DC center-negative supply and draws up to 500mA, which is well above what most compact pedals ask for. Glou-Glou does not include a power supply with the pedal3.

At 500mA, the FL7 rules out most daisy-chain arrangements and low-output supply outlets. Plan a dedicated high-current outlet on your pedalboard power supply.

Questions

Does the Glou-Glou FL7 come with a power supply?

No. Glou-Glou's product page lists the power supply as not included, so you will need to provide your own 9V DC center-negative supply rated for at least 500mA. Because of that current draw, a standard low-output daisy-chain supply may not be enough; a dedicated outlet on a pedalboard power supply is the safer choice.

What is the delay range of the Glou-Glou FL7?

The FL7 covers a delay range of 1.5ms to 34ms. Delicious Audio's Paolo De Gregorio notes that this range is more suited to chorus effects, because the longer, more filtered delay times sit in modulation territory rather than in the shorter range typical of flanging.

What kind of BBD chip does the Glou-Glou FL7 use?

The FL7 uses 1024-stage bucket-brigade device (BBD) chips. Guitar Pedal X reports the pedal is built around two Xvive MN3007 1024-stage BBD chips, which give it its 1.5ms to 34ms delay time range and its analog signal path.

Is the Glou-Glou FL7 still in stock?

As of 2026, Glou-Glou's own product page lists the FL7 as out of stock. The pedal was released in 2024 as one of four Flancher models, so it may reappear, but anyone looking for one currently has to watch for restocks or the secondhand market.

What polarity does the Glou-Glou FL7 power input use?

The FL7 runs on 9V DC with center-negative polarity, the same standard used by most modern pedals. It draws up to 500mA, and the power supply is not included with the pedal.
