The Klowra Sprout (KBS-03) is a stereo modulation workstation: one pedal holding nine modulation algorithms, covering most of the classic modulation flavors a player reaches for. Instead of separate chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo and filter pedals, the Sprout puts all of them, plus vibe, rotary and ring mod, in a single box with stereo outputs12.
It is the third pedal in Klowra's Bloom Infinity Series, and it sells for $129 MAP/RRP1. Under the hood it is digital, running Klowra's WildSeed engine, but the dry signal stays 100% analog from input to output12.
A nine-mode modulation workstation
The nine modes are Vibe, Chorus, Multi-Chorus, Flanger, Filter, Phaser, Rotary, Tremolo and Ring Mod1. That range means one pedal can cover the shimmer of a chorus, the sweep of a phaser, the whoosh of a flanger, the wobble of a Uni-Vibe style effect, and the pulse of a tremolo, along with less common ground like ring modulation.
At the center of the pedal is what Klowra calls the TEXTURE control. Pedal of the Day describes it as giving "intuitive access to deeper sound shaping," transforming each algorithm in its own way: vintage-inspired chorus character, enhanced phaser feedback, flanger resonance, and stereo spatial movement2. In the Vibe mode specifically, Texture increases feedback and intensity1. So the same knob means something different in every mode, which is what separates a workstation like this from nine fixed circuits.
The RATE knob sets the modulation speed, with rhythm options of quarter note, dotted eighth note, or eighth-note triplet1.
| Mode | What it does | What TEXTURE adds |
|---|---|---|
| Vibe | Uni-Vibe style effect | Increases feedback and intensity1 |
| Chorus | Classic chorus | Vintage-inspired chorus character2 |
| Multi-Chorus | Second chorus voicing | Deeper sound shaping2 |
| Flanger | Flanging | Resonance2 |
| Filter | Filter modulation | Deeper sound shaping2 |
| Phaser | Phase sweeping | Enhanced feedback2 |
| Rotary | Rotary speaker effect | Stereo spatial movement2 |
| Tremolo | Amplitude modulation | Deeper sound shaping2 |
| Ring Mod | Ring modulation | Deeper sound shaping2 |
Power and connections
The Sprout runs on a 9V DC center-negative power supply and draws 250mA1. There is no battery option at that current draw, and 250mA is enough that sharing a daisy chain with a row of low-current analog pedals is worth thinking about before you build around it.
The Sprout requires a 9V DC center-negative supply drawing 250mA1. No battery operation is offered.
Connections are fully stereo: two 1/4" TS instrument inputs and two 1/4" TS instrument outputs, with dry/wet separation and true stereo outputs1. Pedal of the Day notes the pedal offers multiple stereo output modes2. Input impedance is 500k Ohm and output impedance is 100 Ohm1. A USB-C hardware interface sits on the top edge1.
The CTRL / EXP port accepts either a TS/TRS momentary footswitch or a TRS expression pedal, and can target the ramping parameters, Attack and Release1. Pedal of the Day also lists TS/TRS external control support, expression pedal compatibility, tap tempo, and a Ramp Modulate feature2. Tap tempo subdivisions are quarter note, dotted eighth note, or eighth-note triplet1.
The enclosure is aluminum alloy, measuring 54.7mm H x 124.8mm D x 69.2mm W (2.0"H x 4.9"D x 2.7"W) and weighing 445 grams1. It is made in China1.
What reviewers said
Guitar Pedal X's Stefan Karlsson reviewed the Sprout in July 2025 and graded the modes individually. He found the two chorus voicings and the phaser genuinely excellent, well balanced and textured, and placed those three modes in his "A Tier," calling them "all-round top tier quality"1.
Pedal of the Day reviewed the Sprout in September 2026 and was equally positive about the brand's output23:
"Everything so far from our friends at Klowra has been impressive…MOST impressive, if you will"
In a later Pedal of the Day verdict covering several Klowra pedals, the reviewer wrote that the Everlast Stereo Delay, Limbo Stereo Reverb and Sprout Stereo Modulation "have blown me away"3. Klowra's other reviewed pedals include the Rilum multi-head tape delay.

Questions
What modulation effects are in the Klowra Sprout?
Nine modes: Vibe (a Uni-Vibe style effect), Chorus, Multi-Chorus, Flanger, Filter, Phaser, Rotary, Tremolo and Ring Mod. Each algorithm is also shaped by a TEXTURE control that changes what it does, for example adding feedback and intensity to the Vibe mode or resonance to the flanger.
Is the Klowra Sprout analog or digital?
It is digital, built on Klowra's WildSeed engine with 24-bit AD/DA conversion, 32-bit floating-point DSP and a 44.1 kHz sample rate. The dry signal path is 100% analog, so your unprocessed signal stays in the analog domain from input to output.
Does the Klowra Sprout have tap tempo?
Yes. The RATE knob sets the modulation speed, and tap tempo works with three rhythm subdivisions: quarter note, dotted eighth note, and eighth-note triplet. Tap tempo is available through the external control connections.
Can I use an expression pedal with the Klowra Sprout?
Yes. The CTRL / EXP port accepts a TRS expression pedal or a TS/TRS momentary footswitch. You can target the ramping parameters, Attack and Release, so the modulation ramps between settings under foot control.
Does the Klowra Sprout run on a battery?
No. It requires a 9V DC center-negative power supply and draws 250mA, which is well beyond what a battery can supply for long. Plan on a dedicated spot on a power supply rather than a daisy chain shared with low-current analog pedals.
Is the Klowra Sprout true bypass?
It is switchable between true bypass and buffered bypass, with analog dry-through in either case. That means you can choose the bypass style that suits the rest of your pedalboard.
Where is the Klowra Sprout made?
It is made in China by Klowra, in an aluminium alloy enclosure. It is the third pedal in Klowra's Bloom Infinity Series, priced at $129 MAP/RRP in the United States as of July 2025.
