The Line 6 Helix Stadium Floor is a digital guitar multi-effects floor unit with amp modeling, the smaller of the two floorboards that opened the Helix Stadium family. It leverages Line 6's new Agoura modeling tech for more dynamic touch sensitivity and an amp-like feel, and Line 6 says the Stadium processors deliver "extraordinary sound and responsiveness to playing dynamics, a sophisticated yet intuitive user interface, and unparalleled control capabilities"1. It was unveiled in June 2025 alongside the Helix Stadium XL Floor, began shipping in February 2026, and carries an advertised starting price of $1799.99 USD23.
What it does
The Helix Stadium Floor is part of Line 6's new range of floor modelers, and it replaces the front-of-pedalboard role the original Helix Floor held, using the Agoura modeling methodology rather than the older Helix engine1. Where a traditional pedalboard chains individual stompboxes, a floor modeler like this puts amp models, cab simulation and effects blocks in editable signal paths that you switch with footswitches.
Beyond guitar processing, the Stadium Floor and the XL Floor include 8-channel audio interfaces, Matrix cue mixers, and Showcase automation and playback engines, so a unit can serve as the control center of a full live or studio rig7. The family also gets new 3D graphics for each model and new signal path icons on screen2.
Line 6 urges owners who have just received a Stadium to upgrade to the latest firmware, and updates are delivered over Wi-Fi rather than requiring a computer26. A first update for the family dropped in December 2025, following the XL's launch1.
The controls and touch screen
The Helix Stadium Floor hosts an 8" touch screen and many of the same features as the XL Floor5. On the Stadium family, editing is done largely by touch, with help from knobs and buttons plus touch-sensitive footswitches; Guitar.com's reviewer described the XL's workflow as "all controlled by swishing a fingertip around on that screen (with some help from the many knobs and buttons plus the touch-sensitive footswitches)"8.
Both Stadium floorboards also have a Hype control, which can switch between "ultra-authentic" and "idealised" tone5. MusicRadar describes it as a control "which looks to bridge the gap between 'authentic' tube amp emulations and more processed, ultra-refined digital recreations"9.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| 8" touch screen | Editing and navigation, with touch control5 |
| Footswitches | Switch presets, blocks and stomp modes8 |
| Knobs and buttons | Parameter editing alongside the screen8 |
| Hype control | Moves between ultra-authentic and idealised tone59 |
For external control, the Floor supports up to 2 external expression pedals and has one TRS control jack for external foot switches and pedals210.
Power and connections
The Stadium Floor's instrument input is a single variable impedance input with 126+ dB of dynamic range, designed to react to the guitar plugged into it the way an amp's front end would2. Its two effect loops let you insert external pedals anywhere in the digital signal path6. The family offers extensive connectivity including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth11, and the Stadium Floor supports up to 2 external expression pedals2.
On power, the RockBoard listing gives a current draw of 2000mA for the Floor4. The XL Floor runs on a robust internal power supply connected by an IEC cable2, the same approach the original Helix used, meaning no wall wart or pedalboard power supply is needed on that model.
How it differs from the Helix Stadium XL Floor
The main difference, compared to the XL, is a smaller footprint, thanks to its lack of a built-in expression pedal1. In Sweetwater's demo, the XL measured roughly half an inch taller, half an inch deeper, and 3 1/2 inches wider than the Floor, and was 4 lb heavier10. The XL also has four effect loops to the Floor's two, supports up to 4 external expression pedals and up to 4 external amp control outs, and adds high-contrast OLED scribble strips above its footswitches plus S/PDIF in/out210.
| Helix Stadium Floor | Helix Stadium XL Floor | |
|---|---|---|
| Built-in expression pedal | No1 | Yes1 |
| Effect loops | Two6 | Four10 |
| External expression pedals | Up to 22 | Up to 42 |
| OLED scribble strips | No | Yes, XL only2 |
| S/PDIF in/out | No | Yes2 |
| Chassis | Cast aluminum top and sides, folded steel baseplate2 | Dual-piece extruded aluminum top chassis, folded steel baseplate2 |

Guitar.com's Richard Purvis reviewed the XL and found the Helix Stadium XL "slightly less monolithic in dimensions than the old Helix Floor"8. Measured against the Helix Stadium Floor, the XL is roughly half an inch taller, half an inch deeper, and 3 1/2 inches wider, and 4 lb heavier106. Guitar World's XL review similarly listed the unit being bigger than some of its competition, requiring more tweaking than some other modelers, and pitch and synth effects that leave room for improvement as reasons to hesitate12.
In Sweetwater's video demo, the differences between the two units are walked through, including the loop counts, dimensions and weight figures above6.
At Andertons, Lee Anderton talked with Line 6's Eric Klein and Paul Hindmarsh around the family's launch, covering the Agoura modeling approach and the release timing, with the XL arriving at the end of 2025 and the non-XL Floor in early 2026131.

Questions
What is the Hype control on Helix Stadium?
The Hype control is a new feature on both Stadium floorboards that lets you move between what Line 6 calls ultra-authentic and idealised tone. MusicRadar describes it as bridging the gap between authentic tube amp emulations and more processed, ultra-refined digital recreations, so you can dial in how raw or polished the amp models feel.
How many effect loops does the Helix Stadium Floor have?
The Helix Stadium Floor has two effect loops. The larger Helix Stadium XL Floor has four, which is one of the main hardware differences between the two units alongside the XL's built-in expression pedal and larger footprint.
Can the Helix Stadium Floor be used as an audio interface?
Yes. Line 6's Helix Stadium Floor and Helix Stadium XL Floor include 8-channel audio interfaces, Matrix cue mixers, and Showcase automation and playback engines, so they can serve as the hub of a recording or live rig rather than just a guitar processor.
How much does the Helix Stadium Floor cost?
Line 6 announced advertised prices starting at $1799.99 USD for the Helix Stadium Floor when the family was unveiled in June 2025. The larger Helix Stadium XL Floor was announced at $2199.99 USD. Guitar World's launch coverage rounded the Floor's price to $1,799.
