The LunaStone TrueOverDrive TOD 2 is an overdrive pedal from LunaStone, the second version of the company's TrueOverDrive design. It sits alongside the original TrueOverDrive TOD 1 in the maker's range of drive pedals, which also includes the Three Stage Rocket and the Big Fella TrueOverDrive1.
What it does
The TOD 2 is an overdrive, the pedal type that pushes a signal into a warmer, more saturated version of itself rather than the harder clipping of a distortion or fuzz pedal. LunaStone presented it as a variant of the TOD 1, with both pedals covered in the same demonstration material1.
To show the two side by side, LunaStone published a demo video with UK guitarist Chris Buck playing through both the TOD 1 and the TOD 2. LunaStone introduced the video with the line1:
"So, here is another great video by Chris, playing through both TOD 1 and TOD 2."
