The Morpheus Bomber from Morpheus Extreme Processors is a digital polyphonic pitch shifter and super dive-bomber pedal with a range of five octaves. Pitch bending and shifting pedals have been around for decades, but the Bomber's polyphonic design means it can shift whole chords, not just single notes, and Premier Guitar's reviewer found it delivered excellent polyphonic recognition and lightning-fast tracking1.

The controls

The Bomber is built around an expression pedal flanked by two footswitches. The expression pedal, marked with circular rubber grips, controls the pitch. One stomp switch bypasses the effect and the other selects the various pitch parameters, and an LED indicates which interval is active. On the front panel there is also an adjustable trim level with an associated input level display, so you can match the pedal to your instrument's output1.

Intervals and the Dive Bomb setting

The interval settings cover the full five-octave range1:

  • Dive Bomb setting: three octaves down
  • Two octaves down
  • One octave down
  • A fifth down
  • A fourth down
  • A second down
  • A second up
  • A fifth up
  • Octave up
  • Two octaves up

The Dive Bomb setting is the deepest of these, dropping three octaves, and is the setting the pedal takes its name from. With the expression pedal under your foot, it covers the dramatic pitch dives the Bomber is built for1.

What reviewers said

Premier Guitar's reviewer came away positive on the tracking and musicality: "And with excellent polyphonic recognition and lightning-fast tracking it feels practical and musical in its most radical settings." The same review noted a limit at the top of the range: "Once you get two octaves up you're beyond any tremolo system's capacity for pitch shift."1

On the hardware, the reviewer described the pedal as "Housed in a lightweight metal enclosure and finished in a metallic sparkle, the Bomber looks industrial-strength cool."1

The Bomber runs on 12VDC. A power supply is included, but plan your board's power accordingly1.

Questions

Is the Morpheus Bomber polyphonic?

Yes. Premier Guitar's review describes it as a digital polyphonic pitch shifter, meaning it can shift full chords rather than single notes, and the reviewer found it had excellent polyphonic recognition and lightning-fast tracking. Note that at the top of its range, two octaves up, the reviewer noted you are beyond what any tremolo system can handle for pitch shifting.

What power supply does the Morpheus Bomber use?

The Bomber runs from a 12VDC adapter input, and a power supply is included with the pedal. It also has a USB connector on board. Because it needs 12VDC, it is worth checking your supply setup before adding it to a daisy chain.

How many octaves does the Morpheus Bomber cover?

Five octaves in total. The interval settings run from two octaves down to two octaves up, with a dedicated Dive Bomb setting that drops three octaves, plus octave, fifth, fourth and second intervals in both directions.

What does the Dive Bomb setting do?

The Dive Bomb setting is one of the Bomber's interval options and drops the pitch by three octaves, the deepest setting on the pedal. Combined with the expression pedal, it is aimed at the dramatic dive-bomb effect the pedal is named for.

How much does the Morpheus Bomber cost?

Premier Guitar listed the Bomber at a street price of $280 in its September 2026 review.
