The DeluxePlus Plus from Mr. Black is a compact pedal that puts two effects in one box: a spring reverb and a harmonic vibrato. Mr. Black describes the combination as "Splish-splash with dripping spring reverb and ride the motion of the ocean with smooth bias-modulating, harmonic vibrato," and says the two effects can be used one at a time or together "for the double whammy"1. It sits in the company's reverb range alongside pedals like the SuperMoon, the Super Swell and the Mini Reverb, but it is the only one of the pairings that adds a harmonic vibrato to the spring tank.
Power, impedance and connections
The pedal takes standard 9VDC center-negative power on a 2.1mm connector and draws less than 60mA, with Mr. Black recommending a supply of at least 100mA. An internal 9V battery can also power it, though none is included1.
Mr. Black recommends a supply rated at 100mA or more. A low-current output on a daisy chain may not be enough for this pedal.
Its input impedance is around 500KΩ and its output impedance around 2KΩ, figures that matter if you place it in a longer chain of pedals1.
Buying and returns
The pedal lists at $219.95 USD, with a sale price of $179.95 USD shown on the product page as of 26 October 20261. Mr. Black's policy on this product is all sales final: "NO RETURNS/EXCHANGES/REFUNDS"1.
