The Nobels MOD-mini is a compact modulation pedal that puts three classic effects in one mini enclosure: tremolo, phaser and U-Vibe. Nobels describes its range as running from the pulsating tremolo of the swinging '60s to the funky phaser and U-Vibe grooves of the '70s, all with wide stereo depth1. It is a digital pedal, built around a high-resolution 32-bit processor, and it is the fourth mini pedal in Nobels' lineup, following the DEL-mini Digital Delay, ODR-mini2 Natural Overdrive and CHO-mini Stereo Chorus23.
What it does: three modulation effects in one mini pedal
The MOD-mini covers the three modulation flavors players reach for most often. The tremolo mode pulses the volume of your signal, the phaser sweeps a notched filter through it, and the U-Vibe mode produces the slow, vocal sweep associated with the classic Uni-Vibe sound. Nobels positions all three as retro-inspired, with the pedal adding wide stereo depth when run in stereo1.
The MOD-mini packs three modulation effects in one compact pedal: tremolo, phaser and Uni-Vibe, all with tap tempo7. It runs in mono or stereo, with selectable TRS inputs and outputs, in a solid metal housing1. Delicious Audio described it as a compact stereo modulation pedal with the three effects, tap tempo, and switchable mono/stereo and true/buffered bypass2.
Pedal of the Day reviewed it in December 2025 and found the package convincing3:
"today's MOD-mini Tremolo Phase U-Vibe Modulation brings huge sound to the table, in a small, compact package"
The controls
The control set is small and shared across all three modes6:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Rate | Sets the speed of the modulation |
| Width | Sets how deep or pronounced the effect is |
| Mix | Blends the effect with the dry signal |
| Mode | Selects Tremolo, Phaser or Uni-Vibe |
Two toggle switches handle the pedal's routing and bypass behavior. One switches between mono and stereo operation, the other between true and buffered bypass. Nobels describes the bypass toggle as offering "ultimate flexibility," since you can match the pedal to the needs of the rest of your board12. The potentiometers carry "Glow in the Dark" pointer knobs, a practical touch for dark stages8.
Tap tempo is built in, so the speed of any of the three effects can be set in time with the music rather than by ear alone91011.
Power and connections
The MOD-mini runs on a regulated 9V DC power supply with a 2.1 mm barrel connector, center negative, and draws under 120 mA. The power supply is not included1. Guitar Pedal X's launch report gave the current draw as around 100 mA12; Nobels' own product page states it as under 120 mA1.
There is no battery option. The pedal needs a 9V DC power supply with a 2.1 mm center negative plug, the standard pedalboard supply, and one is not included with the pedal1.
Inputs and outputs are on TRS jacks and can be set for mono or stereo operation with the mono/stereo toggle1. The housing is solid metal1.
Where it came from and what it costs
Nobels announced the MOD-mini in late 2025 as the fourth entry in its mini pedal series, after the DEL-mini delay, the ODR-mini2 overdrive and the CHO-mini chorus3. Guitar Pedal X named it in its December 2025 round-up of the best new modulation pedals of the year6.
On price, published figures differ. Guitar Pedal X listed it at €99 / $99 / £85 in December 20256, while Gearnews reported $88.00 / £81.00 / 94.00€ in August 20265. The later figure is the more current one. In the United States the pedal is sold through Osiamo Music Gear, which also supplied Pedal of the Day's review unit3.

Questions
Is the Nobels MOD-mini analog or digital?
It is digital. Nobels builds the MOD-mini around a high-resolution 32-bit processor, which is how it fits three modulation effects, tap tempo and stereo operation into a mini enclosure.
Does the Nobels MOD-mini run on a battery?
No. It is powered by a regulated 9V DC power supply with a 2.1 mm center negative connector, and the supply is not included. There is no battery option, so it needs a pedalboard power source.
Can the Nobels MOD-mini be used in stereo?
Yes. It has selectable mono or stereo inputs and outputs on TRS jacks, and a toggle switch on the pedal switches between mono and stereo operation.
Is the Nobels MOD-mini true bypass?
It can be. A toggle switch lets you choose between true bypass and buffered bypass, so you can set it to suit the rest of your pedalboard.
Does the Nobels MOD-mini have tap tempo?
Yes. Tap tempo is built in, so you can set the speed of the tremolo, phaser or U-Vibe effect in time with the music rather than dialing it in by ear.
How much does the Nobels MOD-mini cost?
Prices reported differ: Guitar Pedal X listed it at $99 in December 2025, while Gearnews reported $88 in August 2026. Check current retailer pricing, as the figure has moved since launch.
