The NUX Ukiyo-E Chorus (NCH-4) is a mini chorus pedal with three different chorus models: ST Chorus, SCH-1 and CE-11.
Three chorus models in a mini pedal
The Ukiyo-E's three models cover recognisable chorus territory. NUX names them ST Chorus, SCH-1 and CE-1, referencing classic chorus circuits players know by name1. Switching between them is done by tapping the tap switch, so all three live behind one control1.
On the circuit question, NUX is direct about what is inside: the pedal is digital, but built to sound like the analog originals1.
"our engineers had to develop an algorithm that mimics the principles of BBD chips, the key component of Analog Chorus"
NUX adds that the pedal's "active low-frequency provides the Traditional Analog Chorus Tone discerning ears have come to expect"1. In plain terms, BBD chips (bucket-brigade devices) are the analog delay-line components that gave vintage chorus pedals their character, and NUX says the Ukiyo-E's DSP algorithm is designed to reproduce that behavior.
Power and connections
The Ukiyo-E runs on 9V DC with a negative tip, and NUX lists its optional ACD-006A adapter as the power supply. Current draw is less than 100mA1.
The pedal draws less than 100mA and needs 9V DC negative tip. Check your pedalboard power supply's per-output current rating before adding it to a daisy chain with other digital pedals.
Input impedance is 1MΩ and output impedance is 10kΩ1. Bypass is selectable between True-bypass and Buffer-bypass (Trails), the latter letting repeats or the effect tail ring out after you switch the pedal off1.
Where it sits in NUX's chorus range
The Ukiyo-E is one of several chorus pedals NUX makes in the mini format. The NUX Voodoo Vibe is a stereo mini pedal covering Uni-Vibe and chorus territory, and the NUX Mini SCF is a stereo chorus flanger. For a larger multi-modulation pedal covering more effect types, NUX also makes the NUX MOD Core DELUXE. For how the chorus effect works and what else is available, see the Chorus Pedals page1.

Questions
Is the NUX Ukiyo-E Chorus analog or digital?
It is a digital pedal. NUX says its engineers developed an algorithm that mimics the principles of BBD chips, the key component of analog chorus, and that the pedal's active low-frequency provides the traditional analog chorus tone discerning ears expect.
Does the NUX Ukiyo-E Chorus have true bypass?
Yes. NUX lists the pedal as offering a choice of True-bypass or Buffer-bypass (Trails), so you can set it to suit how you use it on your board.
Does the NUX Ukiyo-E Chorus work in stereo?
Yes. NUX states the pedal supports stereo operation, which is unusual for a mini-format chorus and lets you run it into a stereo rig or two amps.
What power supply does the NUX Ukiyo-E Chorus need?
It needs 9V DC with a negative tip, and NUX lists its optional ACD-006A adapter for the job. Current draw is less than 100mA.
How do I switch chorus models on the Ukiyo-E?
You switch between the three chorus models by tapping the tap switch, according to NUX. The three models are ST Chorus, SCH-1 and CE-1.
