Poison Noises The Seesaw Pitch Shifter V2

The Seesaw Pitch Shifter V2 is a pitch shifter pedal from Poison Noises, released in August 2022 as part of the maker's rollout of new versions of its entire lineup of effects pedals¹. It sits in the octave and pitch family of effects, and it is built for players who want to push pitch shifting well past simple octave doubling.

What it does

The Seesaw V2 gives you eight different pitch shifting Modes. Poison Noises describes the range as "taking you anywhere from subtle background harmonies to crushing seasick cacophonies", so the pedal covers both usable musical shifts and far more extreme, experimental territory¹.

Across all of those Modes, two controls stay the same: the Mix and Volume controls remain constant in each pitch shifting Mode, which means you can blend and level the effect without relearning the layout every time you switch Modes¹.

Beyond Mix and Volume, the pedal exposes a set of deeper parameters, including¹:

• Articulation¹
• Octave Volume¹
• High Pass Filter¹
• Degenerate¹
• Aliaser Frequency¹
• Ring Modulation¹

An added Expression Out jack gives you even more control over the pitch shifting, letting an expression pedal or similar control ride the effect in real time¹.

What reviewers said

Pedal of the Day reviewed the V2 shortly after release and framed it as a pedal with a strong experimental streak. The reviewer wrote that it "pushes your modulation into new and exciting realms, some of which won't be handled well by certain players", while calling it rewarding territory for those who like experimental sounds¹.
