Boss announced the SDE-3000D and SDE-3000EVH on May 18, 2023, two floor pedals based on the Roland SDE-3000 rackmount digital delay from 1983¹². The SDE-3000EVH was developed in collaboration with EVH and carries presets drawn from Eddie Van Halen's rig³¹.

The SDE-3000D packs two reproductions of the original unit into one pedal, with independent delay parameters, series or parallel operation, mono or stereo modulation on each delay, and versatile signal routing³¹. Boss says "nearly every parameter" from the original is accessible through a retro interface¹. It has 100 user memories, MIDI, and two inputs and two outputs¹². The SDE-3000EVH adds a dedicated EVH panel for recalling eight presets: four tailored to a wet/dry/wet setup and four adapted for a standard stereo amplifier setup¹⁴. It offers 92 additional user memory slots, outputs for four footswitches and two expression pedals, MIDI ins and outs, an external loop, and three ground-lift cables²⁴. Both have Time, Feedback, Out, Rate, and Depth controls, two footswitches, one per delay, and a tap tempo footswitch²⁴.

The original SDE-3000 cost almost $2,000 when launched, and running it in stereo required two units³. Boss describes the new pedals as capturing its "vintage digital" sound, a blend of digital processing and analog circuitry³.

The SDE-3000D is priced at $499 and the SDE-3000EVH at $599, both listed as available now¹²⁴.
