Boss launched the GX-10, a compact amp and effects processor for guitar and bass, in late October 2024123. It is the latest addition to the Boss GX series, which Boss introduced in 20224.

The GX-10 carries the same core sound engine and color touch display as the GX-100 in a smaller footprint45. Boss lists 32 amplifier types and 170 effects, with routing of up to 15 assignable blocks and support for loading WAV speaker impulse responses5. Boss says the unit has 24-bit AD and 32-bit DA conversion, 32-bit floating-point processing and a 48 kHz sampling rate5. It has three footswitches with flexible control modes, an onboard expression pedal with a toe switch, a send/return loop for external pedals, stereo outputs, a headphones jack and a USB-C port for use as an audio interface53. Boss states that GX-100 Livesets are compatible with the GX-105.

Boss describes the GX-10 as having fewer footswitches than the GX-100, and says players will either bank between patches or select manually between three effects at a time4. Guitar Pedal X reported that the GX-10 drops five footswitches, the CTL/EXP and In/Out Settings buttons, and 5-pin MIDI, with MIDI handled over USB instead2.

"Loaded with the same core engine as the GX-100, the GX-10 adds extra portability to your advanced multi-effects processor."

Boss lists an optional Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor for wireless editing and audio streaming from iOS and Android devices5. The GX-10 sits in the multi-effects category alongside the GX-1004.
