Caveman Audio to announce BC1 Bass Master Compressor

Caveman Audio is announcing the BC1 Bass Compressor, a 100 percent analog unit the maker calls a Master Compressor, Bass Musician Magazine reported on July 11, 20231. The maker's product page lists it as in stock2.
The BC1 is designed to sit at the end of a signal chain rather than act as a momentary effect. It has a balanced line input on an XLR connector and the same transformer-balanced DI output as the company's BP1 Bass Preamp, which the maker says lets it handle the overall output at the end of a chain1. Attack time runs from 0.1ms to 25ms; the maker says the long setting leaves transients intact, and the short one can produce a hard-pumping effect21. Parallel compression is an option set on the rear panel1. Level sets the primary output level, and a separate Boost knob adds level when engaged without changing the amount of compression, or can lower output the same way1.

"As far as I know, no other compressor pedals on the market are able to handle the signal level required to function as a Master Compressor."
