Cosmodio releases Glitch Witch analog CMOS fuzz pedal
June 3, 2025 · 2 sources

Cosmodio Instruments released the Cosmodio Glitch Witch on June 3, 2025, according to Pedal of the Day, which called it "their latest release (out today)"1. Delicious Audio also posted about the pedal that day2.
The Glitch Witch is a fuzz pedal built on CMOS logic, described by Delicious Audio as "a savage, 100% analog CMOS fuzz capable of everything from gated splatter to vintage Tone Bender growl"2. Pedal of the Day writes that the circuit "can achieve massive, modern, fullspectrum gated fuzz" and "can also harken back to the roar, grind and grit of an under-biased MKII Tone Bender"1.
With the frequency dividers engaged, the pedal produces sub-octave, bit crush, harmonic glitch, ring modulation, pulse, strobe and chop effects, per Pedal of the Day, which states that all rhythmic effects and modulation rates are then locked to subsonic divisions of the input pitch, so high notes are modulated more quickly and low notes more slowly1. Both outlets compare the behavior to the Rhythmicon; Delicious Audio credits Leon Theremin, while Pedal of the Day credits Leon Theremin and Henry Cowell in the 1930s21.
Delicious Audio lists the controls as follows2:
| Control | Function |
|---|---|
| GATE | Sets sputtering decay or sustain |
| HI/LO | Shapes scooped, mid-forward or bright tones |
| DIVIDE | Switches between raw fuzz and divider-driven effects |
| VOICE | Cycles three divider modes: AM/ring mod, FM wobble, pitch-tracked instability |
| DIVISOR/DEPTH | Sets division rates and modulation intensity |
"The Glitch Witch is everything and anything but subtle"
Neither outlet gave a price or a shipping date beyond the June 3 release. Pedal of the Day directed readers to the Cosmodio Instruments website to buy one1.
