DSM & Humboldt has announced the Dumblifier, an analog overdrive pedal modeled on the Dumble Overdrive Special amplifier, according to Bass Magazine, which published the announcement on January 14, 2026¹. Guitar Pedal X reported that the pedal was due at Andertons on the day its article went live, January 13, 2026².

The DSM/HUMBOLDT pedal is described by Guitar Pedal X as "an analog-driven Dumble-style Overdrive Special emulation with Clean and Overdrive channels, shared EQ, Power Amp controls, stereo loop, cab sim, boost, and footswitchable stereo reverb: Room, Ethereal, and Plate"². The two channels share a three-band EQ, with Bright, Mid Boost and Rock/Jazz switches; the Rock/Jazz switch selects between what Guitar Pedal X calls a "rock-ready FMV tone stack and a jazz-friendly Baxandall-James configuration"². Gearnews reports that the Dumble Pre-Amp-Boost adds +10dB of gain³.

The cabinet simulation offers G12M, G12H and EV12L speaker types in 1x12, 2x12 and 4x12 sizes²³. Connectivity includes a stereo FX loop, left and right 1/4" outputs with cab-sim bypass, balanced XLR DI outputs with a ground lift switch, a 1/8" headphone out and a 1/8" aux in²³. Guitar Pedal X counts 22 controls and three footswitches². Power is 9-12V DC at 150mA, weight is 420g and dimensions are 135 x 115 x 65mm².

Prices differ between the two reports. Guitar Pedal X gives a MAP/RRP of $569²; Bass Magazine gives an MSRP of $599 with a $549 MAP¹. Gearnews lists the pedal at Thomann at $585³. Guitar Pedal X said no manual was available at the time².
