The maker lists the pedal as released in 2026¹, and Gearnews reported it on May 21, describing it as the latest iteration of the Big Muff 2 circuit². Gearnews later noted that the guitar Deluxe Big Muff Pi 2 followed the Deluxe Bass version announced in May³.

The pedal is an analog, mono bass fuzz that Electro-Harmonix describes as a "Deluxe Dual Op-Amp Bass Fuzz"¹. It carries Volume, Tone and Sustain knobs, plus a Blend knob that mixes the dry and distorted signals; at noon the mix is 50/50¹. A Gate knob sets the input amplitude needed to open the noise gate, and turning it fully down disables the gate¹. The footswitchable Crossover splits the signal, applying a high-pass filter to the signal feeding the fuzz circuit and a low-pass filter to the dry signal. The HPF knob ranges from 115Hz to 1kHz and the LPF knob from 60Hz to 10kHz¹.

The input switch engages 10dB of attenuation for high output pickups¹. Outputs include a standard output, an XLR DI output of the effected signal and a buffered Direct Out of the clean signal¹. EHX lists buffered bypass and a footswitch with latching and momentary action: holding the footswitch for more than half a second returns the pedal to its previous state on release¹. Gearnews described the momentary action as allowing a quick blast of fuzz².

EHX gives a US price of $188.20¹. 20⁴.

The maker's specification page lists both a 9.6VDC-200mA adapter and a 6VDC/200mA adapter as included¹.
