Electro-Harmonix announced the Andy Summers Walking On The Moon flanger, a signature analog flanger pedal, on July 13, 2023¹. The pedal is named after the Police song, and the company describes it as a celebration of the flanging tones Summers used with the band¹².

The pedal has three controls: Rate, Range and Color¹³⁴. Rate sets the modulation speed, from slow, smooth filter sweeps to what EHX calls "jittering vibrato"¹³. Range sets the width of the sweep into the bass frequency range¹⁴. Color sets the intensity, from subtle chorusing to jet woosh sounds¹³⁴. A mini-toggle engages Filter Matrix mode, which removes the LFO from the circuit for a fixed filter effect¹³². The true-bypass pedal has Dry and Flanged outputs, which allow a player to split the dry signal from the effected signal¹³². It runs on 9V DC, center negative, at 40mA⁵. A 9V power supply is included¹³⁶.

The pedal is $129¹³⁴. GuitarPlayer and Guitar.com reported it was available now³⁴; Gearnews reported it could only be ordered through the manufacturer's site at that time⁶. Each pedal ships with a tribute Walking on the Moon poster with art by Laura Josephson¹⁴².

EHX based the pedal on the Electric Mistress that Andy Summers used on the Police's 1979 songs Walking On The Moon and Message In A Bottle¹⁴. The company's description of the sound:

Summers said the flange sound was central to his guitar tone at the time:
