Electro-Harmonix released the Nano Pulsar, a compact version of its Pulsar and Stereo Pulsar tremolo pedals, with a U.S. List Price of $99.00¹²³. The company said the pedal "can function as a mono or stereo tremolo/panner"¹.

The pedal offers a choice of Triangle Wave or Square Wave modes, selected with a toggle switch, and a Shape control that moves through waveforms including falling and rising sawtooth, narrow and wide pulse width, triangle and square waves¹³. Rate sets the speed of the tremolo or pan effect, and a Rate/Status LED pulses at the same rate when the effect is engaged¹. Depth sets the amount of tremolo; past maximum, according to Electro-Harmonix, the modulation becomes asymmetric and warps the audio signal between positive and negative phase¹. The Volume knob sets output level with the effect on, which the company said addresses the perceived volume drop common to tremolo pedals¹.

The pedal runs on a 9 Volt battery and can also be powered by an optional 9 Volt supply such as EHX's 9.6VDC-200mA adaptor¹. Guitar.com's review lists buffered bypass, mono/stereo outputs and dimensions of 114 x 70 x 53mm, and describes the pedal as assembled in the USA⁴. Guitar World's review gives dimensions of 70 (w) x 111 (d) x 50mm (h) and power draw of 30mA from a 9V battery or 9V DC adaptor, not supplied⁵.

Guitar.com's Josh Gardner rated the pedal 9 out of 10, writing that in triangle mode with the depth cranked it "does a more than passable Leslie impersonation," and that in stereo the peaks and slopes pan between the two outputs⁴. Guitar World's review noted that some players might want tap tempo and harmonic tremolo modes⁵.
