HeadRush Expands Its Multi-Effects Lineup With the MX5 Leave a comment

HeadRush has unveiled the newest member of its revered catalog of sophisticated guitar effects ‘boards, the MX5.

Sporting an ultra-compact chassis consists of a four-inch touch display, an inbuilt expression pedal, dual control knobs, and three footswitches, the US-based brand boldly touts the MX5 as “the most powerful and easiest to use” amp modeler to date.

In terms of features, the MX5 comes jam-packed with a slew of retro and contemporary tonal options, comprising 66 premium FX models, 50 guitar and bass amps, and 15 cab models with ten discrete mic emulations. It works with HeadRush’s ever-expanding roster of amp and effects algorithms, which is refreshed at the request and feedback of users.

Control-wise, the intuitive touch screen lets you drop and drag stompboxes to craft personal pedalboards, with a pair of control dials for fine-tuning and setting master volume levels.

Besides operating an inbuilt tuner and looper, the multi-function footswitches are assignable to trigger individual effects pedals from the selected signal chain.

Other noteworthy appointments include an inbuilt USB audio interface for recording and re-amping as well as a stereo FX loop to use presets in conjunction with external effects pedals.
