Hotone released the Verbera, a stereo convolution reverb pedal, with an official price of $299.99, according to Gearnews1. Gearnews reported on June 30, 2025 that the pedal should be shipping soon1.
The Verbera is a dual-engine reverb: it combines IR convolution reverb with an additional algorithmic reverb that Hotone calls XR2. It ships with 120 built-in impulse responses, described by Hotone as world-class, drawn from real spaces and original creations, and it can hold up to 1024 IRs21. Gearnews reported that the cloning function can capture other hardware reverb pedals, though apparently not shimmer reverbs1. Hotone lists reverb tails up to 20 seconds, real-time IR envelope adjustment, instant IR loading, and built-in IR browsing and sorting2.
Controls are Decay, Attack/Pre-Delay, Tone/Modulation, Preset, Mix and IR, plus Alt/Menu and Clone buttons and a high-resolution LCD21. There are two footswitches covering preset switching, bypass and a Freeze function, with a trails switch for tail preservation21. External control comes via expression pedal or MIDI, and a USB-C port handles firmware updates and preset and IR management through free PC/Mac software2. Inputs and outputs are stereo with selectable input modes, and the circuit uses a pure analog dry-through design2.
Hotone lists 32-bit AD/DA conversion and processing, 115dB signal-to-noise ratio, frequency response of ±0.1dB from 20Hz to 20kHz, and maximum input level of +13dBu2. The pedal measures 125.5mm by 84mm by 62.5mm and weighs 485g2. It runs on 9V DC at 1000mA, center negative21.
Gearnews noted there were no demos online at the time of writing and that it could not form a real opinion on the pedal1. Its writer said:
"I would guess, like most Hotone products, that it will do a decent job for the money and be packed with features."
The price has been reported differently. Gearnews gave an official price of $299.
