January 1, 2023 · 2 sources
Kernom announced the MOHO Magmatic Fuzz Station at NAMM 2023, with availability set for July 202312. The pedal is described as an augmented analog fuzz, following the company's Ridge Overdrive1. Guitar World reports it is billed as the first augmented analog fuzz in the world2.
The MOOD knob controls the behavior of the transistors in the analog circuit, which Kernom says provides users with unlimited sound personalities1. An ELECTRICITY knob adds a layer of control to every MOOD setting and allows exploration of octaves or ring modulation1. Guitar World describes the range as spanning "octaves to strange harmonics with ring modulation"2. PRE and POST TONE knobs handle tone shaping and EQ12.
The MOHO includes one internal preset and 128 editable MIDI presets1; Guitar World lists one footswitchable preset, 128 MIDI presets and an expression input2. Guitar World also reports that the tonally analog MOHO sounds the same whatever the temperature and can go anywhere in the signal chain2.
The two outlets give the price differently. Gearnews lists an MSRP of EUR 3491; Guitar World gives EUR 349 (approx $390)2. No US list price in dollars has been stated.
