Rainger FX releases Pull Focus sustaining distortion pedal

Rainger FX released the Pull Focus on September 17, 2024, according to Guitar Pedal X1. Guitar World reported the pedal the following day and described it as a high-gain analog distortion pedal with a secondary fade-in reverb or chorus2.
Guitar Pedal X reported that the distortion and tone stack evolved from the El Distorto (2011) and the Colorsound Freakenbender collaboration (2017), the chorus from the Break Box (2022), and the reverb from the Reverb-X (2018), with the reverb run undistorted1. Guitar World described the main distortion as built from a combination of the Reverb-X overdrive circuit and the Tonebender circuit used for the Colorsound pedal2.
Guitar Pedal X listed Master Volume, Tone and Gain knobs shaping what it called a "smooth, sustaining MKIII/MKIV Tone Bender-style distortion," a Ramp knob for fade-in timing, a red push-button selecting reverb or chorus, and an Effect mini-knob setting the size and intensity of that effect1. It also listed a Sensitivity button on the top edge that lowers the dynamics of the fuzz and the impact of the gate for low-output pickups, and a red LED that lights when the fade-in occurs1. Guitar World reported the secondary effect can be set always on, delayed by up to four seconds, or off2.
Guitar World reported a true-bypass circuit and a price of $239, available directly from the brand's website and partner distributors2. Guitar Pedal X gave the price as $239, available from the Rainger FX webstore and international dealers1. Guitar Pedal X reported the wedge-shaped enclosure, the first use of that compact format, carries fighter-jet-inspired artwork and custom knobs1.
"On the chorus setting, this feels like a churning wave coming from behind to lift you forwards. With reverb, it's a monster growing out of your guitar!"
