SoloDallas launches Orbiter Fuzz pedal, sold only on its own site

The SoloDallas Orbiter Fuzz went on sale on September 1, 2024, sold exclusively at SoloDallas.com, according to the maker's announcement12. The first 100 orders include a SoloDallas swag pack, and the maker says all SoloDallas orders ship within 24 hours12.
The pedal is a fuzz built on the legacy of the 1966 Arbiter Fuzz, which SoloDallas says it has enhanced with advanced fine-tuning circuitry12. It has three controls: FUZZ shapes the waveform from triangular to square as the knob is turned clockwise; GAIN increases the signal entering the circuit, pushing it into harmonic clipping; and BIAS modifies voltage to a matched pair of transistors, with lower voltages producing what the maker calls "spitty Black Keys responses" and higher voltages a smooth "American Woman" fuzz12. An internal mini potentiometer sets impedance response for different pickups12.
The maker says its power circuit converts modern wall power internally to emulate the draw of a vintage carbon zinc battery12. The enclosure is reinforced steel with a vintage metallic blue hammered finish, and the design references the Arbiter's flying saucer housing12.
