T-Rex announced the Binson Stereophonica, an analog stereo drum delay based on the Binson Echorec, on January 27, 2026. The maker calls it "The World's First Stereo Drum Delay"1, and Guitar Pedal X reported that preorders are open at Perfect Circuit, Vintage King and Sweetwater2.

The unit uses a real rotating magnetic drum, which T-Rex says delivers "the unmistakable warmth, movement, and harmonic character only genuine magnetic recording can create"1. It has two selectable record heads, labeled Short and Long, and four independently switchable playback heads, each with its own volume and pan control1. Drum speed is variable and can be controlled by an expression pedal, which also handles feedback1. The maker lists Repeat and Swell modes, Kill Dry for parallel and studio routing, and full MIDI implementation1.

Connections include an instrument input, balanced and unbalanced stereo inputs and outputs, MIDI In and Out, and an expression pedal input1. T-Rex gives the input impedance as greater than 500K Ohm at 1KHz and the maximum instrument input signal as 2,5 to 3,00 Volt pp, adjustable1. The unit runs on an included 24V DC supply, center negative, 2.0 mm center pin, and draws 350mA1. It measures 250 x 142 x 224 mm and weighs 3,34 kg / 7.36 lbs1. T-Rex says each unit is handcrafted in Denmark1.

Guitar Pedal X described the drum as "magnetic wire wrapped moving drum just as the original" and listed the record heads as "Slow and Long"2, where T-Rex's own page names them Short and Long1. The same report put the price at roughly $3,000, calling that figure appropriate for the build, and noted that T-Rex had no details on its site at the time2. T-Rex's product page carries no price1.

"Inspired by the legendary Binson Echorec, Binson Stereophonica expands the original magnetic drum delay concept into a true stereo studio instrument."

T-Rex also sells the Binson Echorec, a mono recreation of the original drum delay with four playback heads, two recording heads, drum speed adjustment of plus or minus 20 percent, a Magic Eye level meter and balanced and unbalanced outputs3. It draws 300mA at 24V DC and measures 100 x 250 x 190 mm3. Both units sit in the maker's delay pedals line.
