Walrus Audio Lüm Texture Engine returns as permanent pedal in two colors

Walrus Audio has brought back the Lüm Texture Engine, a granular and reverse reverb pedal that first shipped as a 600-unit limited edition and sold out, Gearnews reported on September 16, 2025. The pedal is now permanently available in two color options, Matte Black and Guava Gloss1.
The Lüm has three modes selected by a three-way switch: Grain Cloud, a granular cloud with two granular taps fed into a feedback delay line; Grain Verb, which reads two granular taps from the reverb effect; and Forward-Reverse Verb, a forward reverb algorithm that transitions into a backward reverb algorithm1. Gearnews reports the design draws on the algorithms of Walrus Audio's Fable, Lore and Slö pedals1.
Five controls adjust the sound. Decay sets reverb time, Filter dampens peaks in the signal, and Mix blends dry and wet signal. The X control changes with the mode: in Grain Cloud and Grain Verb it adjusts the size and frequency of the grains, and in Forward-Reverse Verb it sets the reverb time for the reverse reverb. Stretch continuously adjusts the sample rate from half to double1. The Moment footswitch automates any of the five controls between two settings, with transition speeds of 10 ms, 1000 ms or 5000 ms, and an optional Trails function lets the reverb tail fade after bypass1.
Gearnews gives the US price as $2931. MusicRadar's review lists a launch price of $293 and describes the pedal as "coming in at around $279.99"2. Gearnews also reports the original run was limited to 600 units worldwide1.
"Good news: The Lüm Texture Engine is back! And now permanently available!"
MusicRadar's review describes the pedal as built from the reverb engine of the Slö Multi-Texture Reverb, the reverse-reverb character of the Lore and the granular generation of the Fable, and lists three onboard presets with crossfade, a Stretch Engine covering 0.5x to 2x sample rate, and selectable buffered, Trails or Instant Cut bypass2. The review also notes the pedal is mono only, with no MIDI or expression input2.
