Wampler releases ReWired Brent Mason signature dual drive pedal

Wampler has released the ReWired, a signature overdrive and distortion pedal for session guitarist Brent Mason, listed as in stock on the maker's site at $279.99 with the SKU WMP-RWD-PED1. Gearnews reported the same day, November 29, 2024, that the pedal could be ordered2.
The ReWired has two independent channels, each with its own footswitch. Both carry Level, Gain, Tone and Fat controls; the overdrive channel adds a Blend control13. Wampler describes the overdrive side as "perfect for rhythm and Chicken Pickin'" and the distortion channel as offering "a weighty 'British' Plexi-like punch"1. Guitar Pedal X describes the circuit as combining Wampler's Clarksdale Tube Screamer-style overdrive with its Plexi-Drive Marshall-style distortion3.
An order switch sets the stacking direction as overdrive into distortion or the reverse, and two pairs of input and output jacks allow each channel to be routed separately or another pedal to be placed between them12.
