Warm Audio released two pedals, the RingerBringer ring modulator and the Warm Bender fuzz, as reported on February 13, 2024. The RingerBringer is priced at $219 and the Warm Bender at $19912.
The RingerBringer recreates the 1998 Moog MoogerFooger MF-102 Ring Modulator in a smaller format, with comparable controls and rear ports, according to Guitar Pedal X. It offers LFO, carrier, mix, frequency and drive functions. Its controls are LFO amount, a square/sine waveform rocker switch and rate; modulator mix, a LO/HI rocker switch, frequency and drive; and level, LFO and bypass LEDs. Rear ports are audio in and out, rate, amount, mix and frequency, LFO out, carrier in and out, and 9V DC at 100mA1.
The Warm Bender is a selectable three-circuit Tone Bender-style fuzz pedal2. Warm Audio says the NOS 76 setting is based on an original MKI Tone Bender circuit, the NOS 75 setting delivers a Mark II Professional-style tone, and a third setting uses a proprietary silicon 3-transistor circuit2. The pedal is made with 100% through-hole construction using NOS germanium transistors for the NOS 75 and NOS 76 settings, and adds a SAG control that starves the voltage2. Guitar Pedal X lists controls as attack, level and a version switch, with a sag switch for 9V or 6V, 9V DC at 6mA, and battery power1. Gearnews reports the NOS76 setting uses OC76 and SFT337 transistors and the NOS75 setting uses three OC75 transistors3.
"Choose between the NOS 76 setting for cutting, present tone, the NOS 75 setting for added bass and warm fuzz, or a proprietary silicon 3-transistor topology circuit for a more modern distortion-like take on this legendary flavor of fuzz."
Prices differ between sources. Warm Audio lists an MSRP of $199 for the Warm Bender2, and Guitar.com gives $1994, while Gearnews lists $169.003. Guitar Pedal X gives $219 for the RingerBringer1. Guitar Pedal X also reports that a teardown found "ordinary grey market knock-offs" rather than NOS transistors in the Warm Bender, a claim Warm Audio's page does not address12.
