ZVEX has announced a limited edition Vertical Fuzz Factory featuring vintage robot artwork by Minneapolis painter Daniel "Dan" Buettner. The run comprises just 25 pedals, each hand-assembled at ZVEX headquarters with germanium transistors and UV-printed graphics1.
The Dan Buettner edition is listed at $2991. Buettner is a contemporary painter and member of Rosalux Gallery, and his album-cover credits include Motion City Soundtrack's The Same Old Wasted Wonderful World, released through Epitaph Records. His vintage robot design appears on the pedal enclosure as a UV print1.
According to ZVEX, the pedal's controls cover tightly gated fuzz, intermodulating oscillations, shortwave-radio-style sounds, ripping textures and octave-like fuzz effects1. The enclosure measures 4.3125 × 2.625 × 2 inches1.
