Beetronics Vezzpa Octave Stinger BEE STOCK

The Vezzpa Octave Stinger BEE STOCK is Beetronics' scratch-and-dent listing for its two-mode octave fuzz pedal, the Vezzpa Octave Stinger. The pedal itself is unchanged: an analog fuzz circuit with digital controls, offering a FUZZZZ mode and a STINGER mode that adds a high octave on top of the fuzz. What makes this listing different is the condition of the enclosure and the price attached to it¹²³.

Beetronics describes the BEE STOCK condition plainly on the product page:

In other words, the unit you receive may look handled, but the circuit inside is the same one Beetronics ships in its regular stock, and the listing carries the same 14-day money back guarantee as the maker's other products¹.

What Bee Stock means at Beetronics

Bee Stock is the maker's own term for a scratch-and-dent sale. The pedal works as intended, but the enclosure shows scratches, dings or other imperfections picked up along the way, and Beetronics discounts it accordingly. This Vezzpa listing is marked at 15 percent off the regular price¹, and the Beetronics collection page shows the same 15 percent reduction with a listed price of £131.00 GBP².

Stock on this listing is limited, and the two product pages frame that limit differently: the BEE STOCK product page presents this Vezzpa as its own listing²⁴, while the standard Babee Series product page carries the pedal alongside the rest of the series⁴. The BEE STOCK listing is priced at £131.00 GBP², against the pedal's standard packaging weight of 0.75 lbs / 0.5 kilos⁶. Whichever page a player orders from, the unit itself is the same Vezzpa Octave Stinger.

The pedal behind the listing

The Vezzpa Octave Stinger is a two-voice fuzz. Its FUZZZZ mode delivers the fuzz voice on its own, and its STINGER mode brings in a high octave stacked above it, the combination that gives the pedal its name. A multi-function switch lets you select between the modes or access them momentarily, so the octave stinger can be brought in for a stab rather than left on permanently⁸⁹.

The pedal behind this listing is the Beetronics Vezzpa Octave Stinger, sold here as a BEE STOCK unit at £131.00 GBP². It ships in the pedal's standard packaging, with a package weight of 0.75 lbs / 0.5 kilos⁶. The listing sits within Beetronics' Babee Series range, the maker's compact format for this pedal.

Editions and the Babee Series

The Vezzpa has appeared in a wide range of finishes beyond the standard Babee Series version. Beetronics' Custom Shop builds carry individual unit numbers, such as VZ3191, VZ2144, VZ2306, VZ1900, VZ2521, VZ2527, VZ2528, VZ2530, VZ2531, VZ2532, VZ2533 and VZ2534¹⁰, and named limited editions have run alongside them. Several of those editions have since sold out on the maker's site:

The pattern is consistent across the range: Beetronics issues the Vezzpa in small themed runs, and once a run is gone the listing flips to sold out. The BEE STOCK listing sits in this same ecosystem, but it is not a themed finish. It is the standard pedal sold at a discount because of cosmetic wear, which makes it one of the few ways to get a Vezzpa below regular price when a limited edition is unavailable⁸¹³¹¹.

For a player weighing an octave fuzz against other gain stages, the Vezzpa's stinger mode puts it in the same family as Beetronics' other octave pedals rather than a plain distortion or overdrive. More on the category as a whole is on the octave and pitch pedals page¹.
