The Echo Fix EF-P5 FET Compressor is a 100% analog FET compressor pedal, announced in June 2025 and covered by Delicious Audio as a new release that month12. Echo Fix describes it as a premium analog dynamics processor that delivers "rich, warm compression with unmistakable FET-style punch" in a compact, pedal-friendly form2. It sits among compressor pedals but is aimed as much at studio and hybrid rigs as at a board, with combo XLR jacks, input and output transformers, and studio-style controls including a mix knob and side-chain ducking31.

What it does

The EF-P5 is a FET-style compressor, the family of gain-reduction circuits associated with classic studio limiters. Echo Fix says the pedal offers four switchable ratio settings of 4:1, 8:1, 12:1 and 20:1, so it can work as gentle leveling or as heavier limiting depending on the setting32. Attack and Release are variable, and the maker states the pedal covers "a broader range of Attack and Release times than traditional FET compressors"2.

Beyond the core compressor controls, Echo Fix lists a High-Pass Filter for frequency-selective compression and low-end clarity, and a Mix control for parallel compression, letting you blend compressed and dry signal2. Delicious Audio's Paolo De Gregorio summed the feature set this way when the pedal launched:

"Pro Features: Side-chain ducking, programmable states, and parallel compression cater to complex studio workflows."

Echo Fix also specifies input and output transformers "for sonic character"2, and describes the sound as rich and warm with FET-style punch2.

Power and connections

The EF-P5 runs on a 9VDC center-negative supply and draws 350mA minimum32. That figure matters for pedalboard planning: it is far beyond the output of a single daisy-chain leg on most supplies, so the pedal needs its own dedicated, higher-current outlet.

With a 350mA minimum draw2, the EF-P5 will not run from a battery or a shared daisy-chain output. Give it its own supply outlet rated for at least 350mA.

For connections, the pedal uses Combo XLR input and XLR output jacks2, the locking-style jacks that accept both a quarter-inch plug and an XLR plug. That makes it usable directly with studio line-level gear as well as in a pedal chain.

Versions and availability

Echo Fix also offers the EF-P5 as a Matched Stereo Pair with consecutive serial numbers2. Both versions ship worldwide one business day from the purchase date, and for USA customers Echo Fix covers tariff and custom charges via its express courier, with an all-inclusive checkout price2.

Questions

Is the Echo Fix EF-P5 analog?

Yes. Echo Fix describes the EF-P5 as a premium, 100% analog dynamics processor, with a 100% analog signal path that the maker says delivers authentic compression. It is built in a compact, pedal-friendly form, and Echo Fix says it produces rich, warm compression with FET-style punch.

What compression ratios does the EF-P5 offer?

The EF-P5 has four switchable ratio settings: 4:1, 8:1, 12:1 and 20:1. Alongside the ratio switch it offers variable Attack and Release controls, and Echo Fix says the pedal covers a broader range of Attack and Release times than traditional FET compressors.

How much current does the EF-P5 draw?

Echo Fix specifies a current draw of 350mA minimum at 9VDC with a centre-negative supply. That is well beyond what a daisy-chain output on a typical pedal power supply provides, so the EF-P5 needs its own dedicated outlet on a supply rated to deliver it.

Does the EF-P5 have XLR connections?

Yes. Echo Fix lists Combo XLR input and XLR output connectivity, so the pedal accepts standard quarter-inch plugs and XLR plugs through the same combo jacks. That makes it straightforward to patch into studio line levels as well as a pedalboard.

Can the EF-P5 do parallel compression?

Yes. The EF-P5 has a Mix control that Echo Fix says is there for parallel compression, blending compressed and uncompressed signal. Delicious Audio also lists parallel compression, side-chain ducking and programmable states among the features it says cater to complex studio workflows.

What warranty comes with the Echo Fix EF-P5?

Echo Fix gives the EF-P5 a 12 Months Limited Warranty, according to the maker's product page. The pedal ships worldwide one business day from the purchase date, and Echo Fix covers tariff and custom charges for USA customers via its express courier with an all-inclusive checkout price.
